Delacruz introduces the third section of this book, which draws closer attention to global and local youth cultures and sites, and to the online and on-site educational practices of young people in different parts of the world. This chapter is indeed an informative showcase of diverse cultures from West to East based on research drawn from more than 20 countries. Ten authors, from graduate students to senior professors, from different cultures discuss questions and show examples of educational practices from their own cultural points of view of what is globalization in the youth world. Section III is definitely valuable and timely for today’s students, educators, and researchers to understand the global phenomenon of visual pop-culture and its implications for art education. *この3章での最後を飾る10本目の論文。日本でも著名な、ご存知フロリダ大のアンダーソン博士が阿部先生と始められたゲルニカ壁画プロジェクトについて考察されています。来年2010年で15年を迎えられるのだそうです。「継続は力なり」日本で始まったこの平和を願うコラボの壁画プロジェクト。感慨深いです。私自身、読ませていただき胸にジーンとくるものがありました。
